Busy Month

We have had a busy month! But now things should start slowing down a bit. My best friend Stacy got married on Sept 25th so I have been busy helping her get things ready for that.

Ryan joined Cub Scouts and started selling popcorn as his first fundraiser. He is having a lot of fun and looking forward to all the fun things he is going to get to do this year. Dave is his den leader so that makes it even better because his daddy is involved in all of it too. They go on an overnight campout in a couple weeks.

Josh is finally over all his illnesses for the moment. For most of the month of August he kept breaking out in hives.

Lily is still sweet as can be and growing growing growing!

A girl I went to school with does photography as a side job but she should really take the leap and do it full time because she is awesome!!! The kids had a great time and we got some awesome pics!

Ryan's 1st day of First Grade

So here it is....the start of another school year! Ryan was very excited to get to school and was just as excited when he came out after school. Here is hoping for a wonderful school year full of fun, learning, and new experiences :)

More Summer Fun

We spent summer days out in the backyard in the pool,

we spent a week at VBS which was Ranch Theme, and both boys got to ride a pony while there



we made a few trips to the park,


and went to Kings Island.




Most days weren't planned we just went and did whatever we decided that day. The boys still love Lily and giving her love.


Ryan goes back to school in a week so now its crazy busy time. We will be getting used to a new routine, while I have some other activities that I must prepare for. Here's hoping for a great school year for Ryan and quiet days at home with Lily and Josh! :) Sad to see the freedom of summer go but happy to get a small break with Ryan at school! Looking forward to our vacation in October during Ryan's Fall break.

Princess Lily

I cant believe my baby girl is already 2 months old today!! These are some pics we had taken at 7 weeks old. She is just precious and beautiful! :) Her smiles melt our hearts and the boys just absolutely adore her. I am so thankful that I have been blessed with a wonderful family.

Summer Fun

Ryan's summer break is more than half over already! Lily is 7 weeks old and time is just flying by!! So far this summer we havent gotten to do a whole lot but have tried to take the boys and do some different things. The boys spent a week at their grandfathers and still didnt want to come home after the week. They camped in the backyard with daddy a couple nights.

My mom also paid for the boys to go to A Day Out With Thomas. They got to participate in a bunch of different activites and then got to go on a train ride. They both enjoyed seeing Thomas. They both love trains!


The 4th of July weekend we spent with my parents and Stacey and Courtney. We went down to Rising Sun and spent the night at the Grand Victoria Casino and Hotel. We spent time in the pool and went and watched some awesome fireworks. The boys loved the fireworks even though I think they were a little scared of them because they wouldnt go more than a few feet away from me or Dave when they were going off! :)


The next day we went to the Cincinnati Zoo. It was about 95 degrees so we were all very hot and tired by the end of the day. The zoo was great, we got to see tons of animals and they even got to pet a few animals. Next month we get to go to Kings Island for Primex's company picnic but other than that we dont really have any more plans for the rest of Ryan's break. They may get to go stay with grandfather again but that's it. Hoping to take a trip to Pigeon Forge on Ryan's fall break in October.

This week we celebrated Ryan's kindergarten graduation. The video is a song they sang during the program. We are so proud of our little man. He has grown so much over the last year. I cant believe he is already through 1 year of school.

She is Here!!!

Lillian Rene Gilbert arrived on Friday May 21st, 2010 @ 12:31 pm.She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 20 inches long.
She is absolutely perfect and gorgeous!!
We are so blessed to have this beautiful little girl join our family.
The boys are in love with her and are already very protective of her.

Baby Shower & Update

My good friend Amy from church threw me a baby shower on Friday evening. We had a great time. I got tons of little girl things and lots of little necessities that I was needing! I went to the doctor today (Monday) and was told I would be induced in about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. She will be here before we know it!!!

Ryan's 1st School Program - ARF

Here is a small clip from Ryan's first school program. It was called "Arf". It was very cute and he had a great time doing it. He now tells me that music is his favorite class and after the 2 programs he has been in at church I would never have thought that! He is right behind the mic stand to the left of your screen in a black shirt with a white spot. By this point he was hot and took off his doggie hat!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend we had a lot of fun!! It was busy busy busy and I was super tired come Sunday but the kids had a blast so thats what matters. On Thursday we took them to Bearcreek Farms for dinner and to see Suessical. The play was really cute and all the kids did a really good job sitting and watching it. On Friday we (me, Dave, Ryan, Josh, Stacey, and Courtney) headed towards Cincinnati and did some shopping then we took them to Cocokey Waterpark Resort. The ride down was not so fun. Ryan got sick in the van and Courtney was running a slight fever and not feeling well. By time we got to the waterpark Ryan was fine but Court still wasnt feeling well. She didnt do a whole lot on Friday at the waterpark but by Saturday morning she was fine and had a great time too. Even Josh who sometimes seems scared of the water had a great time. He loved the little water fountains that shot up, he thought it was funny we he tried to sit on them! Then of course Easter Sunday consisted of church then lunch at mom's. The kids hunted eggs and had fun enjoying the nice day.

About 8 weeks to go!!!

Our little girl is set to arrive in just about 8 weeks!! I cant believe how fast time is going. I once again have gestational diabetes so thats how I get 8 weeks and not 9 because they will induce about a week early. So far so good with my blood sugar levels though with just watching what I eat. I still feel like there is so much to do. The boys saw a little 5 day old girl today at church and they both just sat there and smiled in awe at her. I hope they are that excited and sweet when our baby comes home with us. I am not as worried about Ryan, I am more concerned with what Josh's feelings are going to be. Ryan has Spring Break this week and we have a few things planned for the end of the week. He is going to stay with his Aunt Stacey on Wednesday, Thursday we are going to dinner and to see Seussical at BearCreek Farms, and then on Friday night we are going to Cincinnati to stay at Cocokey Indoor Waterpark. Then off course Sunday will be filled with Easter activites. I will be sure to post pics after our weekend of fun.

Lillian Rene's Nursery

The Nursery

So we finally got some work done in the nursery for our little girl!! We have decided on Lillian Rene for her name. I love the room. It took a little while to paint the squares but I think they turned out so cute! We also decided to tear up the carpet and found beautiful hard wood floors. We just had to do a little cleaning with a refinisher cleaner and they look awesome!! Only about 3 months left until her arrival, we cant wait to meet her!

SNOW!!!

We got about a foot of snow on Friday and Saturday ( Feb 5th & 6th). Ryan really enjoyed going out and playing in it but it was too cold for him to stay out long. But the "good news" is we are going to get another 6 inches tonight so it will be there for awhile for him to play in!!!

Tennessee - New Years 2010

We left on New Years Eve and headed to Pigeon Forge, TN. My mom rented a cabin and we all went down together: my mom and dad, sister and Courtney, brother, Lori, and Alston. We spent one day shopping and the 2nd day we went to this place called MagiQuest. All the kids loved it, Jeremy and Dave did too. Its like a big video game that you are doing, running around this place completing different quest to make your person stronger. It was really neat. Then everyone but Dave and I went to see a Magic show. Dave and I went to a show that evening called "The Miracle". It was about all the miracles of Jesus. It was really neat, they had live animals and angels that flew through the audience. Definitely glad we finally went to see it!! We spent one evening at the cabin playing games together and just hanging out. We all had a great time and was glad to spend the time with everyone!!
