Not much going on!

So there hasnt been much going on around the Gilbert household. Ryan is doing great in school. He is still loving it. He did get in trouble last week for kicking someone that puched him off the swing but other than that no problems. He is excited to be going on his first field trip in a couple weeks to the apple orchard. He gets smarter everyday. Josh is just rotten. He enjoys Ryan being at school I think but after he wakes up from his nap he is always asking if its time to go get Ryan from school so I think he kind of misses him. We are excited about some opportunities that we have coming up in the future. Will tell you more about those later. I am heading out to an overnight scrapbook retreat next week with Lori(my sister in law) and some good friends from church. I plan on getting a lot accomplished and having lots of fun. I went last spring with just Lori and we had a blast! Its missions emphasis month at church so we have been busy with lots of extra activities. Ryan started AWANA again and loves it! But other than that not much going on around here! Til later........ta ta! :)

Ryan got to bring home the class "pet" and was very excited!

So Josh grabbed the bear and was acting like it was his pet!! Very Cute!

Labor Day Fun

For Labor Day we went to my mom's house for a cookout. After we got done eating we decided to get out a new slip-n-slide that she had bought. They had a blast but they did get a little cold.

We also celebrated Courtney's birthday since my sister was in town. I made her cake with less than 24 hours notice. I think it turned out pretty cute but it definitely wasnt perfect. She loved it so thats what really matters!

HOME IMPROVEMENT

Dave took a vacation this week and instead of doing some relaxing we did some home improvement. Our laundry was in our garage so we decided to close off the area and make it more of a laundry room and not just part of the garage. It may sound easy to some but it involved a lot of work. In order to do this we had to move the plumbing and the kitchen door to insure that we still had enough room to park in the garage. We had no major issues, which was a blessing. We were able to get it done except a few small things ( like finishing trimming out the door panels in blue) but we built a wall, drywalled, painted -laundry room and kitchen, and put in doors. I love my new space and am so thankful that I have a husband that was willing to take on the project because if we had to pay someone to do it we never would have done it!

BEFORE PIC.......(even though we had already tore out the old drywall and ceiling tiles)

DURING...the big whole in my kitchen wall
